* About the Author *

Cheryl, a native Northern Californian, has lived in Santa Barbara since 1983. Shes been poking around the region ever since, looking for insider secrets in every corner of her adopted hometown.

An award-winning travel writer, Cheryl has penned many a word for regional and national travel guides, including Fodors California and Fodors The Complete Guide to National Parks of the West. She co-authored the first edition of The Insiders Guide to Santa Barbara (1999) with Karen Bridgers, and Hometown Santa Barbara (2008) with a crew of insider author-friends. She also co-authored the California Directory of Fine Wineries, Central Coast (2009) and is story editor of Montecito Magazine.
